Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing a tutoring package from The Maths Coach! By purchasing a package, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which govern the services provided, including payment, cancellation, and the scope of the package offerings.

1. Session Scheduling and Attendance

Scheduling: When you choose a tutoring package, you secure a dedicated, regular weekly time slot with your tutor. This reserved time remains yours each week. If you need to adjust your reserved slot, please discuss this directly with your tutor, always providing at least 24 hours’ notice.

Late Attendance: If you’re running late, don’t worry. Your tutor will still be available for the remainder of your session; however, please note that the session will still end at the scheduled time.

2. Rescheduling and Make-Up Sessions

Rescheduling or Cancelling a Lesson: If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please let your tutor know at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with 24 hours' notice will receive a make-up credit.

Make-Up Credits:

  • A make-up credit allows students to reschedule a missed lesson within 30 days of the original lesson date.

  • The credit can be used to book a new time that works for both the student and the tutor.

  • Make-up credits are not transferable or refundable.

  • If a session is missed without giving 24 hours’ notice, the session will be forfeited, and no make-up credit will be issued.

By booking lessons, students agree to this policy and acknowledge that regular attendance is essential for consistent progress.

3. Cancellation by Tutor

In the rare event that your tutor needs to cancel a session, they will work with you to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. If your tutor plans to take time off for a holiday, you will receive at least two weeks' notice. Any missed lessons will either be rescheduled, or a make-up credit will be issued. Alternatively, we will arrange for another tutor to cover your session.

4. Payment

  • Payments are processed monthly in advance and charged to your card on file, with billing cycles starting on the 1st of each month.

  • When you sign up, your first payment will be prorated based on the remaining days in the current billing cycle and is due immediately.

  • If there is an issue with your payment, access to sessions will be paused until the payment is successfully processed.

5. Cancellation of Services

We’re here to support you as long as you need us, but you’re free to end tutoring services at any time.

  • If you choose to cancel, your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and no further payments will be charged beyond that date.

  • Please note that we don’t offer refunds for unused sessions.

  • If your tutor needs to conclude services, it will be handled with professionalism and care.

6. Modifications to Packages

We may update our packages, pricing, or availability from time to time. Any changes will be communicated in advance and take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

7. Non-Solicitation of Tutors

Clients acknowledge that our tutors are an integral part of our service. By engaging in tutoring services with The Maths Coach, clients agree that they will not, directly or indirectly, solicit, recruit, hire, or engage the services of any current or former tutor, whether independently, through a third party, or via referral, during the tutoring arrangement and for a period of 12 months after the arrangement ends.

This restriction includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offering tutoring opportunities outside of The Maths Coach.

  • Hiring a tutor for personal, freelance, or employment purposes.

  • Engaging the tutor through a different service or referral.

Breach of this clause: If a client breaches this agreement, they agree to pay The Maths Coach a fee equivalent to six months of tutoring services as liquidated damages. This amount is a fair and reasonable estimate of the loss suffered due to the breach.

8. Limitation of Liability

By engaging with our tutoring services, clients agree that The Maths Coach and its tutors will not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, losses, or legal claims that arise from the tutoring services provided.

While we strive for the best possible outcomes, results are not guaranteed, and the client agrees not to pursue legal action against the agency or tutors.

We’re here to help with your learning, but we cannot assist with technical issues related to your internet connection or equipment. Please ensure you have the necessary technology to participate in online sessions.

9. Privacy

Any personal information collected during the course of providing tutoring services will be kept confidential and used only in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

10. Severability

If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable part will be modified or removed only to the extent necessary to make the agreement valid.

Final Acknowledgment
