Hey there, I’m Laura. I’ve been coaching maths for over 15 years and I'm passionate about helping students navigate the ever challenging maze of numbers and equations. Maths can be tough. It's no secret. It leaves many feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and disappointed. But here's the thing: every student has the potential to improve their skills and become more confident. Sometimes all it takes is a little one-on-one attention and a patient guide to help bridge those gaps in understanding. And that's where I come in.
My coaching approach
Initial Assessment: I begin by assessing your child's current understanding and identifying specific areas that need development. This allows for a focused coaching approach that effectively strengthens key skills.
Concept Review: Targeted review sessions help to reinforce fundamental math concepts and address any areas of difficulty. Whether your child needs a refresher on fractions, equations, geometry, or calculus, I break down each topic step-by-step to ensure thorough understanding.
Skill Reinforcement: I provide varied questions and problem-solving exercises to help your child strengthen their skills. This repetition and practice solidify learning, making it easier to recall and confidently apply knowledge in different scenarios.
Exam Preparation: Preparation for upcoming maths exams, whether it’s a standard test or final school exams. I'll work with your child to review key concepts, tackle practice problems, and build confidence for test day.

Yes, your tutor will discuss with you which days suit you and arrange a regular slot for you each week. Consistency is key and sticking to a regular schedule will help to make steady progress.

We recommend 1-2 lessons split out over the course of a week. The frequency ultimately depends on your goals and availability.

Tutoring sessions are conducted online over video call. You’ll also receive access to a personal whiteboard which will be used at each lesson. Make sure that you have a camera and a stable wifi.
